Sun sets on Ni-Li-Aea (this is laden w/symbolism)
NoHo - one of the younger two RhondoRon tribes. Founded when the previous tribe, the Rorro, saw two BonRon ascend from HonNoror. The NoHo are still led by this BonRon- the most ancient of the three current leaders. BonNoHo considers himself to be the most attuned to Rhondo, sensing vibrations and movement through the earth itself, and has been partially submerged in the earth south of HonNoror since his ascension. As a result, the NoHoRon are not nomadic, as the other RhondoRon tribes are.
Ognorro - founded by the other ascendent BonRon from the RorroRon, the Ognorro are now led by a new BonOgnorro- an unusually cosmopolitan RhondoRon. Having travelled extensively in his youth, this BonRon is fluent in Common and is familiar with the languages and cultures of several other HodRhondo peoples. Because of this- as well as his prophetic gifts- BonOgnorro takes a wider, and more mercenary, perspective on the affairs and place of the RhondoRon in the world.
Dorod- the eldest of the three tribes, and formerly the “north tribe”. The DorodDon now migrate between the eastern ridges and fens beyond the northern ridge. The latter being along the course of a new Railway between Uun:Kharthom and Kai-Li-Ash, the DorodDon have been more affected than the other tribes by the Kouryffelt Empire’s expansion. BonDorod, an elderly RhondoRon skilled at herbalism and medicine, leads the DorodDon. He is acutely attuned to seasonal shifts in the winds, weather, and biosphere.
The RhondoRon are an empathic race, and communicate much much of their feelings, intentions, and the intricacies of their language via emotive cues that other races don’t recognize. However, they do have a spoken language, which consists mainly of nouns and qualifiers. An outsider may pick up the basics of their language, but would still struggle to understand a RhondoRon’s meaning or intent, because descriptors and actions are shared empathically.
Rhondo - earth (spirit,life)
Ron - people (or a single entity)
Don - place
Noror - the heart (the center of something)
Orro - opening (passage,opportunity)
Hon - sacred
Hod - without/lacking (negates)
Or - water
Most of these words can be combined to form more complex terms, ie:
RhondoRon is earth + people
RonDon is individual + place; a particular location
HonDon is sacred + place; a grave or holy site
OrOrro is water + passage; a river, and
HodOrOrro is a dry river/riverbed.
HodRhondo is without + spirit; those disconnected from the earth. used more generally to refer to outsiders- those not RhondoRon.
OrNoror is water + heart; blood
